I'm Fine
Kalpana (Rose) M. Kumar, M.D.
How many times a day do you answer an inquiry into your well being with the answer "I'm fine"? How many of those times do you actually mean it?  Dr. Kumar writes about dealing with the symptoms of our pain; moving toward pleasure and away from pain.  But, in Buddhism this is considered one of the root causes of suffering.  We want pleasure, but does it really lead to a sense of fulfillment? What if we really spoke our true feelings?  Would we be able to hold space for one another? What would society look like if we were able to bear witness to each other?  Would we be healthier? Read about what medical and spiritual research has to offer if we "lean into our pain." Read more here...
