• OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Every year we are sad to see the beautiful flower baskets lining Main Street removed for the winter season!  Sadly, it must be done!  Sunday, September 25th on a beautiful, brisk Sunday morning John & Robby Smith, Steve & Shannon Kuzara, Jeannie Weissman, Bob Utter, Evan Jones, Zoie Jones, Peg Martin, Chris & Natasha Carroll, Jim Mowry, Mike Nickel, Jenny Loomis, Jace Rustad, Justin Sorenson  and Craig & Charlene Hutton all helped make quick work of a tough job! The task of removing the baskets, separating and storing all of the hardware and hauling the dirt would be daunting without the help of my cheerful volunteers.

For the past many years, the Downtown Sheridan Association has made it an annual priority to ensure that beautiful flowers line our historic downtown. We recently expanded the flower baskets north to Fort Road.  These lovely baskets serve as an initial welcome to our summer visitors who help to keep our community financially invigorated.  It also expresses the love we all share for Sheridan and our desire to see our town as a destination community for those seeking beauty, fun and a heartfelt welcome. They also express the love we all share for Sheridan and our desire to see our town as a destination community for those seeking the natural beauty of the Bighorn Mountains and modern hospitality with the old west charm of Sheridan.
Over the years I have heard so many people, visitors and locals alike, express their appreciation for the flower baskets hanging along our Main Street.  We now need your help to keep this tradition going! The expense of growing and placing these flowers in our community has quickly expanded while state and local funding has been decreased. In order to sustain this wonderful tradition, we are seeking our community's support by asking our friends and neighbors to support our Sheridan in Bloom campaign.  With your donation of $50 we can ensure that our Main Street continues to bloom with thousands of petunias each and every summer!
