CONO'S HOA Service!
Did you know?
Did you know? It is technically possible for HOAs to regulate or prohibit short-term rentals, but there are limitations and difficulties. The legal opinion in the matter is here. CONO is not endorsing this particular law firm or their opinion, but feels HOA members may find it worth reading. Be sure to check with an attorney for more details. If you have questions about your own HOA, on this or any other topic, and you'd like CONO's views (not legal advice), simply reply to this Newsletter email with your questions.
October 12th declared Jan Doran Day
in El Paso County

The El Paso County Commissioners and the City of Colorado Springs declared this day Jan Doran Day for her neighborhood advocacy and decades of volunteer service and community engagement. The commissioners and city council hope that the proclamation of this day will urge residents to follow her example of community participation and engage in local government. Once Jan moved to Colorado Springs, she became a member of her homeowner's association and served as the President of CONO for 8 years. Her passion for public process and helping people understand the process in order to become responsible and fully engaged citizens is admirable.

"Jan Doran is one of our city's leading citizens. Without her decades of work, we would not be as open and responsive to citizen concerns as we should be," says City Council Pro Tem Jill Gaebler.
