We'd Love to Hear How You're Leading Effective Academic Practice!
Share your experience to help a colleague and you'll be entered to win a thank-you gift

As a teacher, you have a big impact on your students and you know what's working in the classroom. We need and value your feedback about how you are Leading Effective Academic Practice. We'll share the top three answers in a future newsletter and the teachers whose answers are featured will receive $50 to spend on school supplies and either a restaurant gift card, movie tickets or passes to an art museum.

Some things we've already heard from you:
  • "I thought it was impossible to include everything the Framework [for Effective Teaching] expected until my peer observer and I worked together to create content language objectives (CLOs) that supported Indicator I.8."
  • "My senior team lead worked with me to differentiate within my curriculum by using baseline student learning objective (SLO) data."
  • "I needed to wrap my head around Learning Environment 1 (LE1), so I took a culturally-responsive education class and applied some techniques for making lessons more relevant to my students. I'm seeing the difference in how my students engage in discussions!"
  • "I use the handbook every time I plan my lessons. I use the student behaviors and teacher behaviors as way to make sure I am intentional in how my lesson will reach all kids."
Give us a specific example of how you use LEAP in your daily practice to make lessons better for your students. Something you share may help another teacher! Share your story and look for results in a future issue of Teacher Weekly.
