About the Seminar: You and your dog are invited to this workshop for an overview of the skills and best handling practices needed for therapy dog teams. Whether you are new and have a well-behaved dog who likes people and other dogs, or want to put some polish on your skills before an-evaluation, please join us!
We will cover some of the common exercises that are used in evaluations, learn more about how to recognize stress responses in dogs utilizing tools that calm them more effectively, and expose them to a variety of auditory/visual stimulation and medical equipment. There will be several short breaks for your dog during the workshop and a resource sheet with fun training activities you can do at home with them too.
Dogs must know the basic obedience commands (sit, stay, down, come and heel) and be a minimum of 8 months old. Join us for a fun and educational therapy dog experience!
