Bicycle Tourism Means Business for You

Workshops begin October 20th

This fall, Travel Oregon is bringing their Bicycle Tourism Studio to East Lane County. This regional planning program is designed to enhance our existing incredible bicycle assets and support connectivity to benefit cyclists, businesses and our communities. Bicycle travelers in the Willamette Valley region spend $78.5 Million annually, with an average spend of $727 per overnight trip and $108 per day trip.  If you are interested in capitalizing on this growing travel trend, and are looking to increase this market to support livability and economic vitality, you will want to attend. The Woman Business Leader of the Year Awards are right around the corner. The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce created the Women Business Leaders program to support women business owners, managers, executives and decision makers. The award ceremony honors successful woman business leaders in the Eugene/Springfield area and recognizes their business success, leadership abilities and contributions to the community. Three finalists -- released next week -- will be recognized for their accomplishments and the winner will be announced.

This year's ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 10th from 11:30am - 1:15pm at the Hilton Eugene. Register now to attend this uplifting and inspiring event!

Excel Workshop

Ever wonder how you can make Excel work harder for you?  One answer is
formulas and we are ready to kick start your knowledge with a 90-minute workshop. Your guide will be Excel and Outlook expert Nick Sidhu of Quadrant One Consulting. He works with individuals and companies to make them more productive using the hidden tools in the Microsoft applications they already use. 

This class is designed for Excel users seeking better application of their data using formulas. Attendees may send a spreadsheet of information they gather in advance (optional) for Nick to offer more applicable examples.
Bring your laptop; examples will be shown on the big screen and individual questions will be answered. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be available.

Every Friday morning from 7:30 until 9:00am. the Eugene Chamber Greeters gather at the Valley River Inn for connections and business updates. There is no advanced notice necessary to attend. Members and employees of Chamber members pay $12 which includes breakfast.
