Separation Is In The Preparation
Thinking ahead and preparing for the cold, wet days of Fall and Winter should be job 1 in your risk management arsenal. Here are a few tips to help you protect your organization and prepare for the unexpected:
- Replace batteries in smoke detectors
- Check fire extinguishers
- Inspect and prepare sidewalks and common areas to prevent slip and falls
- Create an emergency response plan, including emergency contact numbers
- Maintain & prepare company vehicles for winter driving by replacing windshield wipers, adding antifreeze & performing tire checks
- Inspect the roof for damaged gutters, clogged drains and loose or cracked shingles
- Wrap exposed pipes and provide adequete heating where exposed indoor pipes are present
- Create an incident or claims reporting procedure

Sitka Counseling & Preventive Services
is a
non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and is an active force in their community. They are located in Sitka, AK. and serve the areas of Sitka, Baranof Island and Yakutat.
Th
eir primary purpose is to prevent and reduce the harmful effects of mental illness/substance abuse in the lives of youth, adults and families.
They offer a variety of outpatient treatment services to assist adults, children and families with behavioral or mental health issues and substance abuse disorders.
Their services include:
Child and Family Support Services, Adult Community Support Programs, Residential Treatment Programs, Therapeutic Services, Early Intervention/Prevention Services, Emergency Services, Supportive Housing and Counseling.

The Celebration For Changing Lives
Minneapolis, MN. - Sept. 2016
Hawley & Associates was so honored to be a part of the Lutheran Social Service of MN. "Celebration For Changing Lives" annual fundraising event this year. It was held at the Marriott City Center, in Minneapolis, MN.
Lutheran Social Service of MN. has been part of the community for over 150 years. They serve
Minnesotans by providing a wide range of human support services related to the basic necessities of life - food and shelter, physical health and safety, and emotional and spiritual well being.
It was a beautiful venue, amazing food, thought-provoking entertainment, and best of all, stories of hope and inspiration!
