Have you visited a Mosque? Sunday, October 23rd is your chance.  Open Mosque Day 2016 is the community's opportunity to learn about Muslims and Islam. Sunday, October 23, 2016 has been designated Open Mosque Day. Click here to see a list of participating centers. This list is updated frequently.

Once again the Chicago area Muslims will be hosting Open Mosque Day and the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations has announced a National Open Mosque Day on Oct. 23rd.

4TH ANNUAL POP SYMPOSIUM
 
Save the Date, Saturday, November 5th for our 4th Annual California Jails and Muslim Inmates Symposium, "Islamic Communities Commitment to Successful Re-Entry Programs".  

This year we will hear from Social Justice Advocates, Law Enforcement Representative and Former Inmates.

The Shura Council reminds you to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 8th and to vote against the death penalty, Yes on 62 and No on 66. If you are not yet registered to vote, the deadline is Monday, Oct. 24th, register here.

ICNA Greater Los Angeles is hosting a two-day workshop, " The Eternal Challenge" at Cal State Fullerton on Sat. Oct. 15th with a free Friday night session at IOK in Diamond Bar. Registration is required.

CAIR is conducting a survey on Muslim student discrimination and bullying. The survey is open to California Muslim students between the ages of 11 - 18, please click here to take the survey.

Many of our Muslim brothers and sisters come from indigenous native communities such as the one in South Dakota, who are fighting an oil pipeline. A delegation of Muslims from Southern California and are traveling to South Dakota to support these native Americans. Please help them to stand for environmental and racial justice, donate here.
