Dear St. John Paul II Families,
It is a busy week at StJPII with activities for our school, our students, as well as our parents and there are a few things I want to bring to your attention...
First, we are launching the 2016-2017 Annual Fund Drive today, with details going home in Tuesday folders. Each year we ask you to prayerfully consider participating. Your support is vital and it is truly appreciated. Please know that every gift is a blessing that given in Love, the Lord will abundantly bless beyond our comprehension.
This Thursday, we will celebrate Vocations Day. This is a special day dedicated to promote religious vocations and allows our students to ask questions and pray for those who have dedicated their lives to serve the Lord.
On another note, I am reaching out to ask that each of you take time to pray and reflect on morning drop off. I must admit...I definitely do better once I have had my first cup of coffee too! Please remember that we are modeling Christ-like actions at all times. We are currently experiencing families that drop off at Brimhurst not following traffic rules and it is affecting the safety of our students and crossing guards. Please be mindful to pull past the corner and park to drop off. Also, please do not stop in the middle of traffic to drop off your child. It is important in those few minutes that we are consciously following traffic rules for the safety of all.
We look forward to seeing you on Campus for Conference Day and to complete our week, Saturday is St. John Paul II’s Feast Day. I, along with a few families, will be attending the family retreat. I ask that each of you find a way to observe our Feast Day in a meaningful way in your home and pray for us as we continue to form families of disciples.
In Him we trust,

Challenge Club "Family" Builds Friendship & Faith
Challenge Club is a Catholic girls club for grades 5 through 8 that helps girls grow in virtue, friendship, and their Catholic faith. It's a place for girls to learn about themselves by doing apostolic projects, building friendships and creating a positive impact on family, friends and the world. Last month, 40 members of the StJPII Challenge Club made 146 inspirational cards for hospitalized children. What a fantastic way to live out the ultimate mission of Challenge and expand our family of disciples.
