DCCC Jazz Orchestra Benefit Concert

Depot Theater presents "DCCC Jazz Orchestra Benefit Concert for Beauty & the Beast", Thursday, October 19, doors open at 6:30, light hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.  Concert begins at 7:30.  $30 ticket.  Proceeds will go to offset cost of renting costumes for next spring's production of Disney's "Beauty & the Beast", our first area-wide high school production.

Wild West Zombie Paintball

Experience up-close encounters with a lifelike Stegosaurus, Velocirapter and the king T-Rex in this walk-thru exhibit. Kids become junior paleontologist as they dig for fossils in the Valley of the Bones. Visit the Kid's Adventure Zone filled with themed bouncy houses, crafts and more. It's family fun of prehistoric proportions.

Final Friday Art Walk & Day of the Dead Street Festival!
Downtown Dodge City

The October Final Friday Tour kicks off in Downtown Dodge City celebrating Dia de los Muertos from 5-8pm. Enjoy artists, musicians, crafts, and food in the streets of 2nd Ave. 
 Carnegie Center for the Arts will be open from 5-7pm. Sentinel Iron Works from Ellinwood, KS will feature Aaron McCaffrey and Renee Miller's cast iron and fabricated steel sculptures, sterling silver pieces, and ceramics. Wine and refreshments will be served.
Head over to Eryn's Downtown Center (formerly known as Eckles Mall) from 5-7pm. You will be greeted by the 2nd Ave. Lunch Company with their special homemade treats and Mariscos Restaurant will serve savory samples from the kitchen. Then stop by the instant photo booth from Josh Roesener Photography and get your official Final Friday picture taken. Visit the Trail of Fame Museum to learn more about Dodge City history with a glass of wine. Boot Hill Antiques wants you to visit them as well for goodies and old fashion fun on the upper level of the mall.
Walk across the street and check out Flowers by Irene from 5-7pm. They will serve refreshing cocktails, treats, and a chance to win a $100 floral centerpiece.
Visit the 2nd Ave. Art Guild from 6-8pm. They will be featuring a variety of their members' artwork in the gallery. Wine and refreshments will be served.
The Home of Stone Museum will be open from 6-8pm. Come by for a tootsie-roll cocktail, grab a bag of old fashion chocolates & candies, and listen to some spooky ghost stories.
Head to the Depot Theater Company from 7-9pm to play pub trivia. Featuring a specialty cocktail and serving delicious hors d'oeuvres. Wine & beer available.
Visit the Boot Hill Distillery from 8-10pm. Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy Halloween-themed craft cocktails made from their own spirits.
Finish out the evening at the Boot Hill Casino & Resort for a nightcap from 9-11. Featuring sangria and Tallgrass Brewing craft beers with refreshments. Jeff Mooradian will be playing live music in the Longhorn room.

Come and get a little spooked at the Library Haunted House.  FREE!  The house is for ages 5 and up, but supervision is recommended for those under age 10.  Haunted House is open from 4-6 Wednesday-Friday (Oct. 26-29) and on Halloween (Oct. 31). Check in at the desk in the youth department for a tour of the Haunted House.

Mainstreet's Trick or Treat

Children are encouraged to check-in the morning of the event at Eisenhower Park, located at First and Gunsmoke, to pick up their Trick-or-Treat location card and map. Children who get their card stamped by all participating businesses will be entered into a drawing to win a new bicycle. The bicycle drawing will be held at 12:30 pm at Boot Hill Museum. Must be present to win. Once finished with trick-or-treating, all children and their families are invited to Boot Hill Museum for games, activities and a $1 hamburger feed (available to the first 500 people). Also, during the event, children will get the chance to vote for their favorite scarecrow display created by the individual downtown and area businesses.
