"It was an honor to have received this award for such a unique and cutting edge project. The American University Washington College of Law was the first project in America to utilize Zehnder Rittling radiant ceiling panel technology on a large scale, specifically 4,180 panels in total.  It was a privilege to work with Whiting Turner as they entrusted us to be the first contractor to implement Radiant Ceiling Panel technology in such a high profile, American institution. Because these panels are extremely energy efficient and have no moving parts, they are an ideal selection to promote sustainability and showcase how new technology can advance American HVAC design," Ameen Khouri, Project Manager, Shapiro & Duncan shared. "This award also demonstrates special recognition of our Virtual Design Coordination department whose efforts allowed this new technology to be implemented, as well as the 120 men and women it took to finalize the installation. We hope that this project serves as living proof that pushing the envelope of sustainability results in rewards for all."
