The Bar Association of Springfield Missouri was founded October 17, 1903. Our charter hangs in the SMBA board room as a reminder of our mission which has remained consistent for five score and 13 years:

To maintain the Honor and Dignity of the Profession of Law, to cultivate social interaction among its members, to promote legal science, and to Advance Justice.
