Dear  ,

After much anticipation surrounding Barrister's October line-up.....the excitement of this week is finally here. The list of events is just below. Please join us.

Don't forget...we are in the final planning stages of our Scholarship Luncheon which will be held on February 17, 2017. Barristers, we have set an ambitious goal of awarding two outstanding law students with $1,000 scholarships.  The question for our annual scholarship luncheon has been dispersed to Florida Law Schools. Can we count on you  to help fund $1000 scholarships for two outstanding law students? Please donate  to help us achieve our goal!

As always, we look forward to seeing you at the General Body Meeting, October 20th.

Yours in Service,

Brandi Thomas

Volunteer this Election Day

Florida NAACP, with the guidance of the NAACP Legal Department, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights (LCCR) and the Florida 501(c)(3) Table is recruiting attorneys to provide voter protection in precincts throughout the state of Florida.  In addition, we need volunteers for a final, non-partisan GOTV (Get Out the Vote) effort November 4-8.

We urgently need your help on Election Day and in the days immediately preceding Election Day.

If you would like to sign up to volunteer, please follow this link (or paste it into your browser) to fill out the LCCR volunteer placement form:

You will receive an e-mail when shifts/training are up on the LCCR website.

Finally, if you would also like to volunteer for the final GOTV push right before election day, please reply to this email or call FL NAACP Legal Redress Committee Voter Protection Coordinator Dede Akiti at (305) 814-0316, or David Honig at (202) 669-4533.  We would be glad to connect you with the local NAACP branch in the county where you'll be volunteering.
