It is with a good bit of sadness that I must announce my retirement at the end of this year due to health concerns. Doctors orders. It has been a wonderful and exciting eight years, I have learned an awful lot and have met so very many wonderful people. But, all good things eventually end, and evidently now is the right time to wind things down.

My plan is to take Cecile's online on a much smaller scale, and work from home.  If you have an item that is ALREADY in the store that is worth $50 or more, I will sell it for you from our eBay store.

Consignors: IF you want to reclaim an item, you may do so, if you can find it.   Staff will not be available to find the proverbial needle in the haystack.

Please keep in mind that this will likely be a tumultuous time, this is a task I have never done before - dismantling a business as large as ours will no doubt be difficult, but the staff and I will do our best to answer all questions.

Precious jewelry WILL NOT go on sale, but the costume jewelry will.

I can only ask for your kind patience as we go about this enormous  and difficult task.

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW INVENTORY.  If you have merchandise that you would like to put in our eBay store, let us know. Those sorts of things will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Items that have come in recently will be sold according to the terms on the contract - 8 weeks on the floor at the regular price. if unsold after eight weeks, items will go to the 50% off rack...... after two weeks at 50% off,, if the item is still unsold, it will drop to $.99.

As for the liquidation sale of merchandise that has been here a long time, that sale schedule has not been finalized. We will likely begin with 10% off the contents of the entire store, and prices will be lowered incrementally until the week between Christmas and New Years, where any remaining inventory will be $.99 .  After that,  anything remaining will be donated to charity.

So, at the moment, my staff and I are working on our strategy for the closing protocol. All of my business friends have said that if a businesses is planning to close, you tell no one until the last second. That's not my style. I want everyone to know now, it's not a secret, you can spread the word.  I will keep you abreast of any and all changes, as they occur.

Of course, all of the fixtures will be for sale as well.  (Yeah, even some of the lamps). :-(  I have promised the Ward family that the store would be empty and swept clean before Jan. 1.  That's my goal, anyway.

So, here we go!  I will be working mostly "behind the scenes", but I am always available to answer questions, please just leave a message with a staff member.

I would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding… I'm not quite sure what to expect. There will no doubt be problems that I have not anticipated.

On the bright side, between now and Christmas there will be some pretty amazing deals to be had. When I am sure of the timeline of the way I plan to proceed, I will let you know.

All that said, we have gotten some pretty extraordinary jewelry lately. If you're looking for that special Christmas gift, now's the time.

With love and gratitude, Cendra
