KINDNESS MATTERS AT FALCON PASS
As part of the school's The Leader in Me program, students at Falcon Pass Elementary applied for a special job to create "thank you" baskets for the CCISD Maintenance and Operations department. Over the course of a few weeks, students organized, baked, created and then delivered a basket full of treats, cards and personalized water bottles for each person on the maintenance team.

A HOUSE WITH PURPOSE AT CBHS
Broadband Communications students at Clear Brook High School had the unique task of building a house inside their classroom. The main purpose of the house is for students to learn about wiring up the entire low-voltage communication system. This real-world lab practice helps prepare students for the Home Networking certification exam, as well as find entry-level employment right after high school.
BROOKSIDE PEP RALLY
Students and staff at Brookside Intermediate gathered together for a special pep rally before they cheered on the 8th grade football team!
CLHS DRAGON BOAT REGATTA
Last weekend, the National Chinese Honor Society students at Clear Lake High School participated in the 13th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon Boat Regatta in Sugar Land, Texas.  The students enjoyed the collaboration and competition while also increasing their knowledge of the Chinese culture.

COUNCIL MEMBER VISITS NORTH POINTE
Houston City Council Member Dave Martin recently visited with 4th and 5th grade students at North Pointe Elementary. He described to them his duties as a city council member and answered their questions about local government.
CVHS PREPARES FOR RED RIBBON WEEK
In preparation for Red Ribbon Week, representatives from the Drug Enforcement Administration's Houston Field Division visited Clear View High School to talk about the history behind Red Ribbon Week and why it has been recognized for more than 30 years across the nation. The students have a new perspective as to the importance of this federal agency tasked with combating drugs on a large scale to protect our nation and a better understanding of the importance of this significant week.

CAPS FOR A CURE
In recognition of National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, Victory Lakes Intermediate participated in "Caps For A Cure"  to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. For a $1 donation, the kids could wear caps/hats to school. The school raised $1,165 to donate to Texas Children's Hospital Cancer Center.
C.O.R.E.S. OF STEM EDUCATION
Clear Brook High School students visit Greene Elementary each week as part of a new club called  C.O.R.E.S. (Community Outreach for Education in STEM). The high school students design STEM lessons and then teach them to the elementary students.
