APPLY: INDUSTRY MENTOR PROGRAM
Oprah Winfrey once said, "A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself." Let The Collins College's industry connections give you some of that hope. The Mentor Program connects students with industry executives who are enthusiastic to support young professionals embark on their careers. Click here for more information. SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES

AOCHLA LUNCHEON & PANEL
Professor Linchi Kwok, Career Services Coordinator Ann Lara, and 2014 alumna Jessica Zhang participated as panelists at the Anaheim Orange-County Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Partners Luncheon and Panel Discussion. Zhang is a former AOCHLA scholarship recipient and is currently a project coordinator for Prospera Hotels.
CPHA & ASEP SOCIAL: OCT. 13
CPHA & NSMH toured the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach and the Pasea down the street last Friday.


NSMH WESTERN REGIONAL CONF.
Meet and connect with industry professionals from companies such as Marriott International, Hilton, Starwood, Disney, Sodexo, Hyatt and more! Enjoy a lip sync battle with other schools, learn what should be done before graduation, understand diversity within the industry, and many other activities. CMAA ICE CREAM FLOAT FUNDRAISER
CMAA will host an ice cream float fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Collins Courtyard during U-Hour. The fundraiser will assist students attending the CMAA World Conference later this year. Follow CMAA on Facebook and Instagram for important updates about tours, socials, and meetings! 


RFP FIRST GENERAL MEETING: OCT. 13
RFP will host its first general meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13 during U-Hour in the Demo Auditorium (Building 79-147). Students will be informed of upcoming events including the Taste of Soul Festival on Oct. 15. Delicious falafel will be served. Come hungry! For updates, follow RFP on  Facebook and  Instagram.
ASEP GENERAL MEETING: OCT. 13
ASEP will be having their first general meeting on Thursday, Oct. 13 in the Wine Auditorium during U-Hour. Find out what the club is all about and how you can join! CMAA & NSMH BOWLING SOCIAL
CMAA and NSMH will have a bowling night at Oak Tree Lanes in Diamond Bar on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8:30 p.m. This is your opportunity to meet the current members and executive board of CMAA and NSMH. Bowling is only $4. You are welcomed to bring friends!
HACU NATIONAL INTERNSHIP 
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is currently seeking students interested in applying for a Summer 2016 internship in the corporate sector. The program dates are June 17 - August 27, 2017. More information can be found here
FREEHAND SESSIONS
In anticipation of opening this winter in Downtown L.A., Freehand Los Angeles will be offering a complimentary program for students interested in breaking into the hospitality industry. Beginning in November, the 8-week class will be held every Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and will provide an introduction to all facets of working in a hotel. RKR OPENS FOR FALL QUARTER
The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch will open its doors for fall quarter after a complete renovation of the dining room over the summer. The RKR will be open for lunch on Oct. 11 and dinner on Oct. 12. MATT'S RUN: OCT 15
On Saturday, Oct. 15, Cal Poly will be hosting its 11th annual 5k run/walk in honor of Matthew Myers. Matt's Run is a campus tradition that celebrates everyday heroes who use their powers to help others.  Participants of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to  wear the costume of their favorite superhero. THE GREAT CALIFORNIA SHAKEOUT 
On Oct. 20, 10:20 a.m., Cal Poly Pomona will be participating in this year's Great California ShakeOut, an annual drill to practice how to be safer during big earthquakes. Click here for more information.
