16 Saved at Rifle, Colorado Revival

Each day of the revival, Monday-Saturday, members of New Life Fellowship in Rifle, CO gathered for a morning prayer breakfast, daily crying out to God for revival and the salvation of people whom they prayed for by name. God answered their prayers and those of Simplicity Ministries ® partners. His Spirit moved in revival in Rifle, CO. 16 people publicly professed their faith in Jesus Christ during the revival week!!! [11 adults (4 men and 7 women), 4 teens, and 1 preteen.]
For one family, the journey to salvation began in the life of their teenage daughter. Early in the week, the Holy Spirit was drawing her to faith. She shared with her parents and invited them to come to the revival. They did. On Friday night of the revival, during the invitation, the entire family came, publicly professing faith in Jesus Christ. They will be baptized together on Sunday, Oct. 16 at New Life Fellowship.
On Sunday, October 9, two men who professed their faith in Christ on Tuesday night of the revival were baptized. In addition, a man saved on Friday night was baptized. You can watch their baptism on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/simplicityministries. Every night, Monday-Saturday, people responded in faith to trust Christ. An estimated 30 or more believers came to the altar during the response time to pray and renew their commitment to Christ in some area of their lives.  It was a joy serving there with Pastor Albert Harris, the leadership team, and congregation of New Life Fellowship.
Men of Simplicity (MOS)
There is not a lot of good news in the headlines today. In fact, the headlines are a daily reminder of the impact of sin and the result of a nation that will not humble itself before God. The Church and this nation did not arrive at this place of crisis overnight but over decades. It will not likely be "fixed" overnight, either. A change of course from rebellion against God to submission to God can happen if men, who are divinely appointed leaders, are awakened in a revival of true repentance and return to the Lord Jesus Christ, to lead and disciple their families under the Lordship of Christ, and boldly proclaim Christ to the lost.
In addition to the Gresham MOS (Men of Simplicity) started in 2009 and the Coulee Baptist MOS Project in Wenatchee and Moses Lake started in 2015, Simplicity Ministries ® has now partnered with two additional churches to launch MOS at Lake Bible in Lake Oswego, OR and Open Door Baptist in Troutdale, OR this fall. Gresham, Open Door, and Lake Bible meet weekly on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, respectively. The Wenatchee and Moses Lake MOS groups gather twice a month. In total, there are now 10 churches and five gatherings, involving 135 men who are learning to live simply and purely devoted to Christ.

Please pray for God to protect these men and their families from the evil one. Pray for them to lead with strong and courageous faith in the discipleship of their families and proclaim Jesus Christ to the lost.

6 Saved, 18 Commit to Reach Their Schools for Christ

On September 16 & 17, Mike traveled to Henderson, NV to preach at the Youth Evangelism Conference in Henderson, NV. Brian Jenkins, former Northwest youth pastor at Airway Heights Baptist Church, now serves as associate pastor at Highland Hills Baptist Church in Henderson. Jenkins reported to the Southern Nevada Baptist Association that there were "78 students and leaders from 5 different churches" in attendance. During the conference there were " 6 reported decisions of salvation or calling and 18 students who committed to reach their schools for Christ this year ."
 
Here's some feedback that students and adults who attended the conference shared . . .

Pastor Brian shared that two of his students have started Bible/Prayer clubs on their high school campuses already. One started 2 weeks ago and the other one starts on Thursday. Excited to see what God is going to do through these students!
