Taste Week
Pictured: Zoé, Kalina, Van - Alice, Paolo, Mylène.
Last week, our preschool students were introduced to the different tastes they experience when they eat - sweet, bitter, sour, and salty. They learned how to prepare a smoothie, make a pizza, bake cakes, or toast bread. All those tasty experiences happened during Taste Week, an annual event that brings some of the parents into the classrooms to help the teachers prepare games and a variety of foods for new taste sensations!
Thank you to all the parents involved and to Babeth, who did all the shopping!

ÉDITO
Have you noticed the changes on campus?
Most of our improvements are a result of the community's generous support. Our philosophy for philanthropy is rooted in the model for independent schools across the country. We depend on revenue from tuition and generous donations from parents, grandparents, families of alumni, friends of the school, foundations and the community at large.
Thanks to the robust growth of the Annual Fund, we are able to continue the music and visual arts program, schedule cultural field trips, pilot a coding and robotics class, upgrade technology in the classroom, provide diverse opportunities for faculty professional development and more! This year, the trustees have established a Fund for Financial Assistance. More than ever, the Annual Fund Campaign plays an essential role in ensuring we have the resources to provide each student with what he/she needs to reach his or her full potential.
Thank you for your participation next week during Giving Week. By making donations, you are setting a great example of generosity and philanthropy for your children!
Véronique Rahmati, Development Office
Chers parents,

The Mini Outdoor Amphitheater
Le mini amphithéâtre extérieur
The Kindergarten students were able to rehearse for their next Mini Forum, thanks to our new outdoor Mini Amphitheater. According to Laurette, their teacher, it is less scary for a first rehearsal before stepping onto a big stage in the auditorium. After a few rehearsals outside they feel more secure.

Middle School Service Learning
Le service civique au collège
Pictured: Zachary, Anouk - Marie, Jean-Baptiste
Every morning, middle school students serve as crossing guards during drop-off time. All middle school students will complete volunteer community service throughout the school year, either as crossing guards or as preschool and kindergarten lunchtime helpers. Signing up for, committing to, and completing service learning tasks all provide opportunities for leadership and a rewarding sense of responsibility. Younger students admire their older peers' role modeling and the older students take pride in becoming responsibile.
Do you have volunteer ideas for our middle school students? Perhaps there is an organization where you volunteer or you have a suggestion that would be a meaningful and logistically possible, off-campus service learning opportunity for the middle school students. Contact Bénédicte Brouder at [email protected].

La chasse au loup
Pictured: Jules, Zoe, Ella, Kalina, Brianna, Rex, Mark, Laurette.
The students from Kindergarten B were faced with the challenging task of finding the author of the letter they had received during the week, Loulou the wolf!
Loulou happened to be hidden in Babeth's and Sylvie's office. What a surprise to discover such a nice wolf ready to share exciting adventures with the Kinder B students throughout the school year.
