FALL TALMUD COURSE
DAF YOMI with Dr. Jesse Hefter
Sunday evenings from 8:00-9:00 pm
10 sessions for Fall-Winter 2016-2017:
Oct. 30, Nov 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, 18,
Jan. 8, 22, 29.
The group will study the world's Daily Page of Talmud (now in its 13th 7-year cycle) covering topics related to borrowing and lending objects and animals between people, hiring workers, acquiring property, and neighborly relations. As always, the Talmudic material often intertwines  non-legal narratives about Jewish culture, spirituality, and philosophy.
This Daf Yomi course will be led by Dr. Jesse Hefter of Brookline who is past President of the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts (SCM) and has been the instructor for several years in SCM's popular Daf Yomi weekly study program. 

This Fall-Winter Daf Yomi Talmud Course is being jointly sponsored by Temple Emanuel and the Synagogue Council.

No prior Talmud experience or knowledge of Hebrew is required.
