A Message from our Director
The fall is a busy and bustling time for our businesses, and as your calendar fills up there are a few initiatives I'd like to highlight.
With our partner the Waterbury Regional Chamber, we've worked to finalize the special supplement to the Republican-American that will showcase your business to over 30,000 subscribers. This Business Directory and Resource Guide will appear in the September 21st issue of the newspaper and will be mailed directly to all of our members, so be on the lookout for that publication. We are proud to be able to get your business information directly to consumers through this partnership and know it is of great value to our members.
If you're looking for ways to further showcase your business, I'd like to remind you that
today is the deadline to be included on the
'Congratulations Card' for the upcoming
Malcolm Baldrige Community Awards Evening. This is a unique opportunity to congratulate the awards recipients and promote your business to over 400 attendees, so if you are interested I encourage you to contact our office as soon as possible.
If I won't see you at the upcoming Out for Business, please reach out to me at any time at (203) 757-0701 or at
[email protected] to let me know how our team can further support you and your business.
Thank you,

Hiring and Training Programs Available
|
|
Do you need help finding qualified workers for your business? Could you use some financial assistance to offset the cost of hiring and training new workers, or training your existing workforce? The Waterbury Regional Chamber is working with the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board to help businesses in Greater Waterbury learn more about the available hiring and training programs and whether they qualify for them. This includes providing information on posting jobs on the state's CTHires.com website, as well as information about Manufacturing Innovation Fund Incumbent Worker Training, the Apprenticeship Program, Hiring Veterans, and On the Job Training programs. For information, contact Dave Krechevsky, the Chamber's director of public policy and economic development, at
[email protected] or 203-757-0701.
