In the Fellowship Hall...
Warm Up Columbia Coat Drive
Each Sunday in October, you can drop off your gently-used coats, jackets and gloves in the collection barrel in Fellowship Hall for the annual Voluntary Action Center Warm Up Columbia Coat Drive. All donated coats and other cold weather gear will be distributed by VAC in early November.

VAC Christmas Basket Sign-Up
Voluntary Action Center's Christmas Basket program provides more than 1000 Boone County families with a new gift for each child in the family, a few household needs and a grocery gift card to prepare a Christmas dinner. Broadway members can sponsor a VAC family beginning Sunday, October 16 - look for the sign-up table in Fellowship Hall. This is great outreach for small groups and Sunday School classes.

Coming Up...
Sign Up for Trick or Trunk!!
It won't be long - Broadway's Trick or Trunk event for families and friends is coming on October 30! Check the Fellowship Hall this Sunday for ways that you can help. Children's Ministry would like to get an idea of how many kids to expect, how many vehicles will be on hand to pass out treats and then do some math to make sure we have enough candy on hand! Donations will be needed for candy, water bottles - and new this year - the soup and grilled cheese dinner that will follow Trick or Trunk. Contact
Aimee if you have questions!

Think You Might Need Some Leaves Raked?
Youth Make A Difference Day Can Help!
November's on its way and you know what that means if you're a homeowner - lots and lots of beautiful foliage - in your yard! For our members who could use some help with these jobs, Youth Make A Difference Day can help! Broadway's Youth will be out and ready to help on Sunday, November 13 - and we need work sites to keep them busy before they return to church in the afternoon for pizza and fellowship. Contact
Kahlea Wilson if your home needs some TLC from our youth! You can also call the church office at 445.5312.

In the Community...
Columbia Faith Voices
Amendment 6 Vote Drive
Columbia Faith Voices is getting out the vote to defeat Amendment 6
and the ways in which it will restrict the forms of identification you can show at the polls. Being poor, young, a person of color, disabled, or elderly should not restrict your access to voting. Every eligible voter deserves to have their voice and their vote count during our elections.
If you would like to make phone calls to defeat Amendment 6, a meeting of Faith Voices volunteers will be held each
Thursday prior to Election day from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Broadway Christian Church.
