CHILDREN

WE ARE LEARNING :  Our story is about the Israelites, when they learned God's most important rule.  The Israelites called this rule the Shema.  Shema means "hear" in Hebrew.  This week our kids will make Mezuzahs ("doorframe") to hold the Shema and hang near a door.

OUR MEMORY VERSE:  Joshua's encouraging words:  "Choose today whom you will serve.  My family and I will serve the Lord."  Joshua 24:15

WE ARE SERVING: Our kid's offering bought 150 pair of tube socks for our homeless friends in DC. This week all of the kids are helping to roll the socks - with surprise mints inside and a special note on the outside.  They will be delivered next Sunday inside new boots.
BRING YOUR OFFERING FOR OUR NEXT MISSION!!!!

WE ARE GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS EVE:  Beginning in November our kids will be spending 15 minutes each Sunday rehearsing songs they will sing on Christmas Eve (either the 3 or 5pm service)

Visit children on our website to find out more.

Whether you run to win, run for fun, run to support a good cause, or run just because you want a guilt-free day of eating - plan to join us for the 23rd Annual Ashburn Farm 10K/5K and 2K Fun Run Thanksgiving Day races! Proceeds from the races continue to educate Ugandan children who live in poverty and are extremely vulnerable, a mission of Crossroads UMC since 1999.
