The Road to Housing
Albert's Story

This past summer, Albert, a lifelong resident of New London, found himself out of a job, and shortly after that, out of an apartment. He wound up at the Homeless Hospitality Center, where he discovered a welcoming community and an army of staff and volunteers ready to help him get back on his feet. Recently, with the help of NLHHC, Albert is once again employed and housed.  Read more about his story, and the stories of other past guests, on our website.

Volunteer Your Time
There is so much going on at NLHHC that no matter what your skills and passions are, we likely have a way for you to put those skills to good use! We have volunteer opportunities that take as little as a few hours per month. You can help with a one-time project or come every week. We welcome individuals as well as groups. To learn about all the opportunities we have available, please check out the volunteer page on our website.  If you have something in mind and don't see it on our website, feel free to reach out to our volunteer coordinator directly.

Let us work together to create a homeless hospitality center in New London that will be a model for the rest of our region and our nation. Let us see the invisible poor, and live together with all our sisters and brothers in the beloved community the God of justice invites us to become.
