The 2018-19 SchoolChoice Window Will Open in February
DPS is proud to have the strongest choice system in the country, as well as some of the highest participation rates -- and we're always striving to make our system even better. To continue meeting our families' needs, we have moved the SchoolChoice window from January to February. The 2018-19 school year choice window will be Feb. 1-28.

There were several reasons for moving the choice window, but they all stem from our Shared Core Value of Equity, and we believe the new timing will allow us to better serve our families, with more time to research schools outside of busy times in the fall and around holiday breaks.  Visit schoolchoice.dpsk12.org for more information.
Recommend Outstanding Students to the DPS Foundation by Sept. 22
Do you know an outstanding student? Send the name of a remarkable student to the DPS Foundation by Sept. 22, and the foundation may feature your nominee as a student speaker at one of the foundation's events or in an inspiring blog post. Send the student's name, school and grade to Ashley Sanders, and include two sentences explaining why you'd like to see the foundation feature the student and the names of any of the foundation's programs the student has been involved with (Power Lunch, CareerConnect, Prep League, etc.). Featured students must have media releases and be comfortable speaking in front of large crowds.
