Dear Saint Rose Families,

The 2016/17 Annual Fund collection began back in August with our back to school meetings.  Our returns have been strong and we are well on our way of reaching our goal of $35,000.  Once we reach our goal of $35,000 a generous donor will match our parish and school family contributions with a $35,000 donation.  This past week I spent some time catching up with those who did donate to thank them for their participation.  I challenged the school families to reach a participation level of 50%.  I know that we can reach this level.  You may make a monetary donation, and/or a prayer for the school.  Prayers are powerful and greatly appreciated.  I am surrounded by examples of past Annual Fund drives.  The school's technology is constantly being updated.  Last year we pursued technology with the Annual Fund, which supported classroom and faculty technology improvements.  The previous drive was dedicated to the new playground, which continues to be a hit with the students. Every year funds are dedicated to financial assistance for families that need tuition assistance.  This is a major initiative of the Annual Fund. The school endowment receives support from the annual fund to support the operating costs of the school.
This year the funds are dedicated towards tuition assistance, our school endowment, and student formation.  Student formation covers many aspects of the school.  From last week's 6th grade retreat to the kindergarten 577 field trip to press apples to today's preschool Grandparents Day craft of making Rosaries for Haiti.
Thank you for supporting Saint Rose School and our Annual Fund.  Please help us reach our goal of $35,000 and 50% school family participation by responding today.  Contributions can be made at WeShare.

Sincerely,

Dr. Bryon Borgelt
Principal

Dear Saint Rose Families,

I shared this message earlier this week with our faculty and 8th grade parents.  It is an inspiration message and I think that you should all have an opportunity to read it. It is from a couple that met our 8th grade at a hotel in Virginia as our students toured Washington D.C.

Sincerely,
Bryon Borgelt
~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Dr. Borgelt,
My wife and I had the distinct joyful pleasure of sharing a breakfast room at the Wingate Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia with a group of students from your school.  Distinct pleasure!  As retired educators who worked with middle school students much of our careers, to witness such a poised and polite group so very early (6 a.m.) in the morning... or, frankly, at any time was a refreshing treat.
The parents and educators who have guided these young people over the years have clearly done a remarkable job.  Indeed, the students do a remarkable job representing their families, teachers and themselves as well-polished responsible individuals.
Our sincere gratitude and admiration.
Ogenkide,
Lora and john
Preschool Grandparent's Day null
What a wonderful time our Preschool students had with their grandparents! Grandparents and students made Rosaries for our sister parish in Haiti.  It was a fun craft activity that not only worked on counting and find motor skills, but emphasized our faith and commitment to service.
