Introducing: 19 New BUILD Communities!
The BUILD Health Challenge welcomes 19 new communities that will embark on a two-year endeavor to transform health locally. Funder resources totaling $8 million will support multi-sector local partnerships to improve community health.

A recent Practical Playbook blog shared how BUILD awardee Health Forward/Salud Adelante brought together stakeholders from health care, public health, and the law to connect patients to resources and services that address stressors and ultimately improve health outcomes.

Trenton Health Team
This collaborative, a BUILD 2.0 awardee, initiated a "Safe & Healthy Corridor" along Trenton's North Ward. Aligning with the City's Trenton250 Master Plan, current aims include city revitalization and development of green spaces, and fostering nutrition and active living in local schools and corner stores.

Health Impact Assessment Grants:
Due September 22
- The Health Impact Project, a collaboration of RWJF and Pew Charitable Trusts, is awarding at least four, two-year grants of up to $100,000 to advance Health Impact Assessments implementation.

AHRQ Implementation & Evaluation of Health IT Strategies: Due September 25 - AHRQ is funding projects that stimulate innovative and collaborative research by utilizing new health IT strategies for collecting and using patient-reported outcome measures in primary care and other ambulatory care settings.

RWJF Culture of Health Prize: Due November 3 - This prize recognizes communities that have placed a priority on health and are creating powerful partnerships and deep commitments that will enable everyone, especially those facing the greatest barriers to good health, the opportunity to live well.
