LAST CHANCE: RUN! JUMP! FLY! ADVENTURES IN ACTION™
EXTENDED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 17

Extended by popular demand, experience  Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ - a travelling exhibition filled with action-packed fun for all! This heart-pumping exhibition invites guests to explore action-adventure scenes where they can jump into Action Star Training. Adventure Scenes include Surf & Snow Boarding, Kung Fu Forest, Climbing Canyon, and Flycycle Sky. An Action Star Training Centre with Yoga Station, Strength Centre, and Dance Club are also part of the experience. Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ stimulates the body and mind while simultaneously boosting physical development, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and activating cognitive development.


Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ was developed by the Minnesota Children's Museum in partnership with the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative. Local tour sponsored by Johnston Group. Additional local support provided by CIBC Wood Gundy, Global Television, Len Dubois Trucking, Prairie Public, Toromont CAT, and 103.1 Virgin Radio.
 

MINI MONDAYS
MONDAYS IN SEPTEMBER

Mondays at the Children's Museum are very special days. Every Monday from September to April, join us for a fun-filled morning and afternoon of stimulating play designed for our youngest visitors, children under 4 years old! We provide tailored crafts to help develop fine motor skills, activities that aid in dramatic play, and a special story time at 11:00AM and 1:00PM in our Time Squared gallery.

SCIENCE LITERACY WEEK ACTIVITIES
SEPTEMBER 23 & 24, 2017

The Children's Museum is excited to participate in Science Literacy Week! On Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM, meet the amazing team from the University of Manitoba Let's Talk Science and join the fun with hands-on experiments. Extract DNA from a strawberry, experiment with circuits, make a kaleidoscope, build a DNA model from candy, and more - then stick around to watch marvelous (and messy!) demonstrations from the LTS experts!
 

SCHOOL PROGRAM BOOKINGS

Attention Educators: We're now accepting School Program Bookings for the 2017/18 School Year! With 55+ Manitoba curriculum-linked School Programs for Grades N - 5 available in English, French, Basic French, or Immersion, as well as other special school offers and upcoming events, the Children's Museum is a perfect destination to extend your students' learning experiences and reinforce your classroom instruction.

MINI CULTURE DAYS
SEPTEMBER 29 - OCTOBER 1

The Children's Museum proudly hosts Mini Culture Days - a Culture Days experience for kids under 10!
Mini Culture Days will immerse guests in the signature hands-on creative learning experiences that the Children's Museum expertly delivers all year round.
 
Mini Culture Days events include:
  • Free Outdoor Activities 
    Friday, September 29 - Sunday, October 1  
    11:00AM - 3:00PM 
    Show off your design skills and join in on the fun with a make-and-take Collaborative Window Art activity!

    Please Note: In the event of unfavorable weather, Mini Culture Days will be located inside the Children's Museum and normal admission fees will apply.
  • Mini Nuit Blanche 
    Saturday, September 30 
    6:30PM - 8:30PM
     
    Nuit Blanche is a free all-night exploration and celebration of contemporary art that takes place on the Saturday of the Culture Days weekend. All-night means different things to different people, and for us it means 8:30PM! So seize the night, and come spark your creative learning after dark and enjoy FREE(*) admission to the museum galleries! Make some squishy slime in all the colours of the rainbow, enjoy a refreshing drink, get creative with some free cotton candy (while supplies last), and embrace your inner artist as you join in collaborative art making with award-winning local artist and The Brush Off! participant Megan Krause. 

    (*)Please Note: The Children's Museum reserves the right to control entry in accordance with occupancy and general admission policies. Free admission will be available on a first-come, first-served basis up to a maximum capacity of 800 people for this event.

#SERIOUSLYADULT NIGHT CAMP

Join us on Friday, October 13 for Night Camp - the third and final event in our 2017 series. Gather a group of friends for an evening of hands-on learning and self-discovery as you experience what the Children's Museum does best - spark creative learning! HALLOWEEN HOWL
OCTOBER 28, 2017

Celebrate Halloween at the Children's Museum's 21st Annual Halloween Howl! Come dressed in costume and trick-or-treat in the museum neighbourhood. Go door-to-door to collect your treats and take your spooky family portrait in the Pixels and Giggles photo booth . Meet some exotic creatures  and feathered friends with special guests Prairie Exotics and Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre . Join special guest DJ Mama Cutsworth for a spooktacular dance party and get hands on with ooey gooey experiments led by Let's Talk Science . Tickets are on sale now!
