This Sunday at Christ Church
Farewell Reception for Leah
Please join us this coming Sunday, September 17 after the 9:30 service for a reception in her honor.  Leah has been called to be the Youth Minister of St. Paul's in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where Jeanne Leinbach is Rector. Leah has been with us for four years.  Leah also plans to pursue ordination to the priesthood and is planning on entering seminary once she enters her new diocesan ordination process.

Featured works will include music by Byrd, Mathias, Pierné, and Sumsion. Please note that Evensong that day will replace our normally scheduled service of Compline.

All our Sunday evening services this year: Compline, Evensong, and Taizé

Youth Ministry Fall Update

The Shared Ministry Model: Our Youth Ministry Team is launching a new way of doing youth ministry! During a visioning retreat last spring, our team realized that for our program to grow deeply and broadly, we need more people to be involved and have more opportunities for leadership for our youth. To that end, we'd like to create teams of youth with one or two adult mentors to lead each youth ministry event. Join us after church in the McClain Room on September 24 to talk through these new possibilities and contact Laura Zung with any thoughts or questions.

CCD: Coffee, Christ, and Donuts for our high schoolers will start on September 13 continue throughout the school year on the first Wednesday of each month. Frances DeBlasio will meet with the youth at Walker Brothers at 7:15AM. Breakfast on us!
Bring your friends. We'll get you to school on time. =)

The Acolyte Program will be led by Jim McGee and William Roberts, with help from Laura Zung and Alison Walker. Jim is in charge of scheduling and William is in charge of training acolytes.

Peer Ministry Training, led by Diane Krieman and Jen Baker, will begin October 1 in place of Recognize/Church School for 7th-12th graders. Please check out the announcement in the bulletin for more information!

The Confirmation Program continues under the direction of our Rector, Christopher Powell and our Director of Children's Ministries, Melissa Durbin.
