City of Longmont Passes Pollinator Resolution
The Longmont Coalition for People and Pollinators was instrumental in passing a resolution "recognizing the importance of protecting and supporting pollinators." This is good news for pollinators," said Sue Anderson, PPAN Chair, "by changing land management practices and striving to reduce pesticide use on city land, pollinators have a fighting chance of finding safe forage."  The city sets a good example for its residents by acknowledging the significance of pollinators for their ecosystem services, for our food system and for the economy. PPAN encourages other communities to take similar action.

Odd as I am sure it will appear to some, I can think of no better form of personal involvement in the cure of the  environment  than that of gardening. A person who is growing a garden, if he is growing it organically, is improving a piece of the world.
