Business Location Team: A Valuable Resource for New and Expanding Businesses
Chandler boasts an excellent business climate for first-time entrepreneurs seeking to enter the market as well as experienced business owners looking to expand, relocate, convert and/or renovate existing space. The mission of the City's
Business Location Team (BLT) is to help entrepreneurs navigate the property development and permit processes.
Below is a brief video that highlights how the BLT can help entrepreneurs find the right space and open for business as quickly as possible, saving them time and money.
Uptown Chandler Brand Makes Its Mark
Announced during the Mayor's 2017 State of the City Address, Uptown Chandler is a City-led, stakeholder supported initiative designed to raise awareness of one of the City's key employment corridors and its many business and lifestyle assets. The goal is to champion positive growth and continued economic vitality.
Recent efforts have focused on visually implementing the new brand identity to make sure people know they are in Uptown Chandler as soon as they enter the area. Over the past few weeks, more than 90 banners were installed on light poles near major intersections. Window decals are now being distributed to area businesses that want to be advocates for Uptown Chandler and show off their neighborhood pride.

Chandler Emerges as an Auto Technology Hub
Chandler has rapidly become a hotbed for the automotive technology industry. In 2016, Waymo (formerly the Google self-driving car project) selected Chandler as one of four test sites nationally for its fleet of self-driving prototype vehicles. Intel also made news when it established its Automated Driving Group in Chandler, a division solely dedicated to innovating the future of driving and designing the next generation of advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving solutions.
