  Suzie Boss to provide keynote address at VA PBL Institute!!

Suzie Boss  is a writer and educational consultant from Portland, Oregon, who focuses on the power of teaching and learning to improve lives and transform communities. 

She is the author of several popular books for educators, including  All Together Now: How to Engage Your Stakeholders in Reimagining School and Reinventing Project-Based Learning . She is a regular contributor to Edutopia and a member of the Buck Institute for Education National Faculty. 

She recently collaborated with award-winning educator Stephen Ritz on  The Power of a Plant , which tells his inspiring story of creating green classrooms and healthier outcomes for children and communities across New York's South Bronx and around the world.

Keynote title for the institute: Real-World Projects 
for Real Results

Additionally, Ms. Boss will spend all of Thursday, October 12, supporting participants as they enhance their learning around Project Based Learning.

LEARN: PBL 101
PBL 101 is BIE's foundational three-day workshop. Based on BIE's model of Gold Standard PBL, the workshop provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to design, assess, and manage a rigorous, relevant, and standards-based project.

ENHANCE: PBL 201
PBL 201 (prerequisite: PBL 101) is a three-day deep dive focused on advanced  practices in PBL implementation including topics Building Culture, Assessing Student Learning, and Creating Effective Team Roles.

COACH: Coaching Academy
PBL Coaching Academy is a three-day dynamic workshop engages instructional coaches in best practices for providing sustained support for teachers to enable high quality PBL design and instruction. It is recommended that participants in the Coaching Academy have attended our foundational PBL 101 Workshop.

LEAD: Leadership Academy
PBL Leadership Academy is a three-day workshop for up to 50 instructional leaders and administrators, who may attend as leadership teams. This workshop engages leaders in exploring best practices in leading a school or district in the effective, sustainable implementation of Project Based Learning.
