Civic Centre to be precise. Vancouver Island Opera is presenting a fully staged version of Mozart's THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO with orchestra on Saturday, October 22nd at 7:30pm and on Sunday, October 23rd at 2:30pm.
If you have never been, but wanted to experience theatre that is opera, this is a great one to start with.
While it is sung in Italian and the antics of the protagonists get confusing, it all comes clear at the happy ending. To help one understand the convoluted plot there is a running translation projected on the side of the stage.
