Process Highlights








FINDING CAUSE OF STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT DISPARITIES
School and district instructional services leaders in  Colquitt County Public Schools, GA ,conducted root cause analyses on student achievement disparities. Their work helped shape school improvement plans for the 2017-18 school year.

BUILDING CAPABILITIES AROUND COLLABORATIVE DECISION MAKING
District and school leaders from  Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, NC , used TregoED processes on some complex issues: improving support for students' mental health and behavioral needs, improving budget transparency, deciding how best to support fifth grade achievement, and selecting the best option for a future Center for Career and Experiential Education (CCEE program. 

STRATEGIC EXCELLENCE IN PROBLEM SOLVING SESSION
District leaders in  Palm Beach, FL Schools , participated in a four-day session to build and enhance problem solving skills. They used root cause analysis to work on challenges such as ELL students not meeting proficiency expectations, increase in behavioral incidents in certain elementary schools, and schools not following truancy process/protocol.

THE CHALLENGES OF LEADING FOR EQUITY
School and district leaders from PA, NY and NJ met in July at the  2017 Penn Excellence and Equity School Leadership Institute  to explore leading for equity through ethical and effective decisions. Leaders applied TregoED process to such topics as: improving climate in diverse elementary schools, addressing student achievement disparit ies of sub-groups, and improving academic support for struggling students.
