Live Documentary: Field Guide to SQ 777

Oklahoma voters will decide in November whether to approve State Question 777, which would amend the state constitution with regulatory protections for farmers and agricultural producers. StateImpact Oklahoma will present a live documentary on this issue, viewed from all sides, with photos, recorded interviews and live accompaniment by local Americana band Annie Oakley. Watch StateImpact reporters Joe Wertz and Logan Layden--and the whole live production--on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at the 21C Museum Hotel in Oklahoma City.

From liquor laws to teacher compensation to criminal justice reforms to farming regulation, the ballot initiatives have complexities and consequences to be considered. Weekend Edition Saturday host Scott Simon will broadcast from WBEZ's main Chicago bureau this Saturday, Oct. 29. A Chicago native and Cubs fan, Scott is working on World Series-related reports, including an interview with renowned National Anthem singer Wayne Messmer. Scott is such a big Cubs fan he was invited last summer to throw out the first pitch for a regular season game.
