POAH turns 15
: Hundreds attend anniversary event
Close to 300 affordable housing partners, colleagues, and supporters joined POAH leaders and staff for a discussion about the future of affordable housing in this country as part of the organization's 15th year anniversary celebration at the Atlantic Wharf Building in Boston on Sept. 28. Read more
POAH has received a FY16 Capital Magnet Fund award from the U.S. Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) which helps low-income families and economically distressed communities by attracting investment for affordable housing and related economic development.
POAH will use the award to support preservation transactions in areas of high housing need.

POAH begins construction on first mostly market rental building in Woodlawn in 50 years
Chicago Deputy Mayor Andrea Zopp and partners, supporters and residents joined POAH to celebrate the ground breaking for Trianon Lofts, the first predominantly market rate rental housing to be constructed in Woodlawn in more than 50 years.
Newberry Park consists of 25 two-bedroom units, 48 three-bedroom units and 11 four-bedroom apartments and is located near Chicago's Medical District, the University of Illinois at Chicago, public and private schools, retail shops, a park, CTA bus and transit lines, and child care services.
