Chapter Event Recap
BC Chapter Slo-Pitch Tournament
Event recap by Bryson Sask, Key Innovations

We played ball, we cheered, we even enjoyed a few beverages! The 1st annual BC Chapter slo-pitch tournament was an incredible success! We had 3 teams made up of people from all skill levels and everyone definitely brought their A+ game. Many brave players hadn't played in decades, yet everyone had amazing hits and nice plays. Debco sponsored the event and flew 2 people and sent 1 by ferry just to play with the BC locals. Players and fans got to enjoy hot dogs and ice cream, all courtesy of Debco's support for this event. Many fans came out to cheer including alumni Fred Olsen and alumni Brent Stumph volunteered his time as our umpire. Thanks to every who attended! Click here to see pictures from the event.

First, Close Your Eyes
By Jae M. Rang, MAS
Reading time: 41 seconds
For what do you need to see proof before you believe it?  Before you hire someone, do you extensively review resumes and previous performances?
Before you invest in a system, do you read testimonials from institutions similar to yours to verify a track record?  Before you begin a training program, do you verify that individuals like yourself have experienced the results you're looking for?  For some reason we've been conditioned to take a "seeing is believing" attitude.  We look for history in order to make a decision on the future.  That means we're putting faith in what has already happened to happen again.  To some extent that might offer comfort in the decision-making process but having the expectation that something will be replicated identically is making a decision facing backwards.  While the narration of the past offers record, are we suffocating our beliefs by boxing them in with only what we can see?  In order to breathe in potential, shouldn't we be closing our eyes to the past?  Click here to continue reading this Aha Moment.
