Alumni Startup Mighty Well Wins Babson Breakaway Challenge $250,000 Investment
Congratulations to Mighty Well™--led by Emily Levy '16, Maria del Mar Gomez '16, and Yousef Al-Humaidhi '15--for winning the Babson Breakaway Challenge. The challenge offered the largest funding amount ever awarded in a women-specific business competition in order to promote high-potential, women-led businesses and raise awareness of gender parity in the venture capital industry. Career Spotlight_ Breaking into  Venture Capital With a background in finance and entrepreneurship, Margo Layton Cole MBA'15 didn't initially consider a career in venture capital. Once Babson's Graduate Center for Career Development suggested an internship at Breakaway Ventures, something clicked. Now, Cole works as a venture associate at Breakaway and recently worked on the Babson Breakaway Challenge. Read more »
 
Girolimetti Family Hosted by Women's Soccer for Team IMPACT Draft Day
Babson College women's soccer players and coaches officially welcomed Ava and Sofia Girolimetti, along with their parents, Babson alums Marc '96 and Allison '97, during a Team IMPACT (Inspire, Motivate, Play Against Challenges Together) Draft. The Northeast-based nonprofit organization seeks to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses.  Read more »

Millennial Alumni Report Shows Strong Impact of Recent Graduates
The recent Babson Millennial Alumni Report reveals that this group comprises entrepreneurs, individual contributors, senior leaders, and executives within their organizations. Babson millennial alumni are creating economic impact--nearly 300 alumni respondents have owned or operated at least one venture during the last ten years--and having a social impact--nearly three quarters reported volunteer or donor activity in social, environmental, or community service organizations. Thank you to the more than 1,800 alumni in the Classes of 2006-2015 who completed the alumni survey in April 2016.  Download the Executive Summary (PDF) »

Men's Golf Captures Third Straight NECC Championship
Babson Golf First-year student Chris Bornhorst '20 claimed medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 1-under par 143 to help the team capture its third consecutive New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Golf Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship at Wachusett Country Club.  Read more »
Nearly 50 Student-Athletes Attend CCD Athletics Alumni Career Panel
In early October, the Undergraduate Center for Career Development ( CCD) held an Athletics Alumni Career Panel, attended by nearly 50 Babson student-athletes. Four alumni panelists returned to campus and spoke on a number of topics, including why student-athletes make great job candidates.  Read more »

Management professors James Hunt, Melissa Manwaring, and Danna Greenberg have contributed a chapter to the newly published Educating for Responsible Management: Putting Theory into Practice.
