Don't forget to register to host a booth at the 2017 Academy Expo  Wednesday, October 4, 2017  at the Indoor Sports Center at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two   to discuss your career with 9th grade Rockford Public Schools students, and help them to make their College & Career Academy selection .

Alignment Rockford Executive Director Appointed to NCAC Board

Alignment Rockford's Executive Director Bridget French has been appointed to the Operating Board of Directors for the National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC) to assist in Career Academy development, support, and oversight across the nation! 

Executive Director, Dr. Jay Steele, says, "I personally know the outstanding accomplishments and work of each board member and I am proud to work along side this dynamic team of academy experts".

"I am honored and humbled to join the board of an organization that is at the forefront of Academies," stated Executive Director Bridget French. "I look forward to deepening our network with NCAC in order to leverage best practices that will ultimately benefit the students of Rockford Public Schools."  Read more

Back to School August 21st! 
And the Academies Need You! 
 
The coming school year marks the beginning of the next phase of our high school Academies as they strive toward national Model Career Academy Accreditation through the National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC). Model status requires that each Academy meet various standards of community engagement to ensure their relevance and credibility. To do this community members are needed to help plan and implement project-based learning and real-world experiences with our teachers and our students! 


Be a part of this exciting work! Please consider joining an Academy Support Team (AST) at one of our high schools! Attend monthly or join to support Academy events!

New Knights Orientation August 20th 

Kick off the new school year and welcome the newest Auburn Knights who for the first time will be beginning high school in a Career Academy. Please consider coming out to help show these new students how much they will be embraced  by their new school, the school district, and the community! 

The event will be  August 20th, from 4:30-7:00 p.m. in Auburn High School's stadium (weather location will be the gymnasium.)  Hot dogs, chips, and water will be provided for attendees. 

Event schedule: 
  • 4:30-5:30 - Games, Event booths, Academy tables, Food
  • 5:30-6:00 - Welcome and Introductions
  • 6:00-6:30 - Academy Break-outs
  • 6:30-7:00 - Building Tours
