There is something so promising about the month of March.  The cold Winter months are behind us and Spring is right around the corner.  As we shake off the Winter doldrums, life is filled with fresh thoughts and ideas.

Spring is an especially exciting time at Salmon-Casson, Ltd.  Our reps visit us with updates and new products.  We are also introduced to new lines that expand our library  Three of these new lines are showcased in our "What's Happening at SCL" section of this newsletter.  Please take a moment to check them out.  Also, this is the time we begin to prepare for our trip to the High Point Furniture Market, which takes place in April.  More on that next month...

We have added a new section to our newsletter called "My Favorite Thing".  We reached out to our clients and asked them to share a favorite item from their design project with us.  The response has been overwhelming and it reminds us that design is about meeting needs and keeping it personal.

Enjoy--and Happy Spring!

My Favorite Thing!

This is one of my favorite things that Kim designed for me.  I love to entertain and never have enough seating in my Great Room.  I had seen a table that had ottomans under it to use for additional seating but never could find one.  Kim found the perfect table ( Charleston Forge) and ottomans ( Wesley Hall) and created my very own table.  We use it all the time--either for extra seating or to sit around the table to do a family puzzle or two!

Why do we love  Charleston Forge ?

In 1988, my then business partner and I ventured into a small showroom at the High Point Market.  It was here I was first introduced to Charleston Forge furniture.  The president and founder of the company, Art Barber, greeted us himself and we were instantly impressed by his commitment to make fine handcrafted furniture.   [read more...]
