While at your doctor's office, use the Drug Price Lookup Tool in the
Familywize mobile app to see which pharmacy will have the lowest price for your prescription. Then ask your doctor to send your prescription to that pharmacy.
United Way partners with Familywize to bring affordable prescriptions to all people in our region. There is a total savings to date of $1,581,379 with an average savings of 45%. Helping families with affordable prescriptions is part of United Way's efforts to strengthen families throughout our region.

The United Way "thumbs up" approval reflects excellence in thirteen areas that include financial management, governance, legal and ethical practices, brand management, and community impact. Our United Way participates in a rigorous annual evaluation that determines this status.
At Reno's Lemelson Academy, the
'Family Reading Program' teaches parents techniques for reading effectively with their children. The program incorporates reading, activities, and related science experiments organized around a theme, such as 'Weather,' 'Let's Pretend,' or 'The 5 senses.'
Every participant even gets to take a new book home for the home library. This is important because of the relationship between reading success and the number of books in the home.
