Thank You's
Please see the "Angels of St. Stephen's" article for our Thank You's this week.

This Sunday, June 11, we will have one service at 9:00 am.  It is Trinity Sunday and our Appreciative Inquiry Summit.  I can't stress enough how important it is for each one of you to participate in the Appreciative Inquiry Summit. It is an opportunity to provide our Rector Search Committee with your input for the church profile.   We need your participation and feedback so that we will have a comprehensive and accurate church profile. Each one of you is important to the future of St. Stephen's.

The Rector Search Committee, guided by Joanna Shreve (Diocesan Liaison) has planned the Appreciative Inquiry, including lunch and childcare. Remember, the service this Sunday begins at 9:00 am. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The Eucharist service is from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Then the Appreciative Inquiry follows. Father Edward Wilson will preside over the Eucharist service. There will not be an 8:00 service this Sunday. We are very excited that Bruce Ahlvin will play the music for this Sunday's service. It is a special treat for us to have Bruce and his wife, Rev. Judi, with us.

As we head toward summer, Sunday school is out and the Voice Choir, Bell Choir, and Joyful Noise Band are all off, but the Rector Search Committee continues to work hard towards the final goal of finding our new Rector. Please keep them in your prayers as they write our profile and as they receive candidates from the Diocese. We greatly appreciate their hard work, their commitment of time and dedication.

Senior Warden

PRAY FOR THE RECTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE

Dear Lord, Heavenly Father, we, the people of St. Stephen's ask for your blessings on the members of the Search Committee.  Bless them in their meetings, in their deliberations and in their discernment.  Keep their hearts and minds open to the Holy Spirit and to wherever You will lead them in this process.

Guide them in their deliberations while they prepare the St. Stephen's Profile which will be posted to the National Office of Transitional Ministry (OTM).  Please allow this process to be completed with ease and joy.

We trust you and we know that you will bring us the best possible Rector for St. Stephen's as you have done for us before.  Thank you, Heavenly Father for all your blessings on the Search Committee and this congregation. AMEN

Please pray daily for our Search Committee......

ST. STEPHEN'S PRESCHOOL NEWS

Students at St. Stephen's Parish Preschool who are moving on to Kindergarten next year had their "End-of-Year Ceremony" last Friday.  Bruce Ahlvin played the guitar and sang and the children performed songs and nursery rhymes that they had learned.  We are so proud of each one of them.

Thank you to Director and Teacher Sue Nielsen, Teachers Kristie Spagnolo and Penny Greathurst, and Office Assistants Edy Unthank and Julie Zintsmaster.  It was a great year for students and staff.

We are also grateful to our students who worked and played hard, made new friends, brought joy to each day, and grew physically, emotionally, and academically.  And we cannot leave out the parents and grandparents who trusted us with their children, got them to school each day, and volunteered for field trips, parties and special events.  We are very, very blessed!

We still have openings for Fall 2017 with 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day programs.  Contact the church office (408-629-1836 / office@ssitf.org) or check out the preschool website www.ssitf.org/preschool for more information.

NEW FUND RAISER FOR ST. STEPHEN'S
Melaleuca Products
Helping you Lead a Healthier Life !

We have great news! St. Stephen's has partnered with Melaleuca, a USA manufacturing company that offers a charitable fundraising program that allows non-profit, 501C3 programs like ours, an easy way to incur extra income without much extra effort or extra money or time from you!

This shopping club is loosely structured like eScrip. Every time a family shops, St. Stephen's will receive 5% of the total purchase. Each family can shop from a wide assortment of common household consumables from this online store which provides high quality, concentrated, eco-friendly products that contain no toxic ingredients or harsh chemicals. They are higher quality than name brands, less expensive than Target, Costco, Walmart. Healthier for your families, your children/athletes and yourself and your pets while at the same time being environmentally conscientious.

There are over 500 items to choose from and all you do is simply switch stores, save money and benefit St. Stephen's! Through this unique non-profit partnership, the more families who volunteer to shop every month for a portion of your everyday household products, the more money will be donated to St. Stephen's.  It's a Win-Win fundraiser for both you and St. Stephen's.

Contact Susie Good - Tom and I have used these products for over 25 years and we love them!

GIFT CARD PROGRAM...   by Janet Thorsrud
Hey my friends,

With so much going on for the next couple of weeks, the next Scrip order will be due on June 25th. Let me know if you need anything special. If you're traveling this summer you can purchase a gift card for Southwest Airlines. As soon as your check clears you can print the voucher right away ( usually the next day) and then order your tickets. It's very easy to use.

I'm trying out Hilton gift cards next week. I'll let you know how it goes.

We have A few Amazon cards and Safeway cards in the office.

Cheers,

Janet
