The US Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program (DoD BCRP) funds innovative, high-impact research on breast cancer through a partnership of scientists and consumers. Congress appropriates funding for this program through the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the Senate will be debating this bill soon.
Senator John McCain is once again trying to undermine the DOD BCRP. The NDAA has been introduced by Senator McCain and the problematic language he included can be found
here. The full Senate will be debating the bill soon. McCain has returned to the Senate to support the Republican health care actions and to move the NDAA forward.
Action Needed:
Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Thad Cochran (R-MS), have introduced
this amendment to repeal the problematic language.
