News from the Athletic Director
Competitive Sports Fall 2017
We will have a Cross Country team in the Catholic Athletic League (otherwise known as CAL) for our Middle School Students. Dr. Jim Stuart is the coach and practice will begin tomorrow Monday September 11th after school. Their first meet is this Wednesday September 13th at Goddard Park and we do have a bus to transport the team to the park but we will need families to pick them up from the park as transportation is one way.

There will also be a Cross Country team for grades 4 and 5 in CAL. They will also be coached by Dr. Jim Stuart and practice on Monday, however they only have one meet that they will participate in at Slater Park. If you have a girl that is also participating in GOTR (Girls on the Run) they can run with GOTR on Tuesday instead of with Dr. Jim Stuart as they will still be running.

We are still hoping to offer tennis instruction since we could not secure a coach for the season. If anyone knows someone interested in instructing tennis please have them contact Ms. Barbato.

Unfortunately we do not have any other competitive teams this fall. We did not get enough girls or boys for the soccer teams this fall but we will have a spring coed team in the CAL division. If anyone would like to still join cross country there is still time please see Ms. Barbato in the office to add you to the roster and inform Dr. Stuart that you will be participating.

In light of so few competitive sports for middle school we will be sending home some intramural opportunities for them to participate in as well this fall. Please keep a look out for this information to follow in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support of the athletic department at Monsignor Clarke.
