Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado Senate District 19
Rachel Zenzinger
Colorado Senate Candidate
Sept. 6, 2016
Happy Labor Day, take day off in honor of all workers

When you come from a simple family of trade workers and teachers, you learn at an early age what it REALLY means to celebrate Labor Day. To me, this has always been more than just a chance to spend a day outdoors with my girls. It's a time to reflect on everything that this country's workers have achieved, with an emphasis on the selfless union workers who have strived over the decades to improve the lives of our working class families.

At AFL-CIO reception

My support of labor has not gone unrecognized in the political arena, as I have gained the endorsement of many labor organizations. They include the Pipefitters Local 208, Colorado AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers, Plum
bers Union Local 3, Communication Workers of America, Colorado Fraternal Order of Police and, most recently SEIU Local 105 and Colorado WINS Local 1876.

Thanks to those organizations, and together I believe we will create a stronger Colorado. As with most great efforts, we require funding; so if you would like to donate to the campaign, please click here
Other endorsements of note

We have tried to keep everybody updated about endorsements via Facebook, but in case you are not a "follower," let me tell you some of the recent ones, besides SEIU Local 105 (mentioned above).

We have the support from Sierra Club Rocky Mountain Chapter, NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, Colorado Dentists and Secure PERA. Most recently, we received support from the Colorado Contractors Association. A lot of those organizations have also donated financially to the campaign. If you would like to join them, please click here, and let us know which group has inspired you to contribute.
Be on lookout for 'other lit'

As one of the most high-profile elections in the state, this one to determine the outcome of Senate District 19 has drawn a lot of attention from outside parties. Some of them are not entirely scrupulous, to put it mildly. So you are likely to see mail pieces and advertisements (called "lit" in the campaign business) about this campaign from a variety of sources, not just my campaign. Much of the advertising is generated by a number of independent groups, supporting either my opponent or myself.

Before you get too upset about the content of any of that lit from independent groups, please remember that our campaign has no control over it. If you want to assure yourself that the lit comes directly from our campaign staff, look at the bottom where it will say, "Paid for by Rachel for Colorado."

Please feel free to call me at 303-748-0770 if you ever want to confirm the origination of any kind of advertisement.

Harvest Festival Parade

One of the highlights of every election season in Arvada is the annual Harvest Festival Parade, where candidates get a chance to show themselves and interact with festival-goers. Our campaign supporters will be walking in the parade with me Saturday, Sept. 10, and we would like to establish as much of a "presence" as possible. If you would like to walk in the parade with us, please call 303-748-0770, or send an email. The parade starts at 9 a.m.; and if you have never walked in a parade before, I think you're going to enjoy it! It's easy exercise, fresh air, and a good cause!

Get your RZ yard sign!

We want to encourage people to vote this election season, so we are displaying as many Rachel Zenzinger yard signs as we can. If you want a yard sign for your home, or if you know of a neighbor who needs one, please contact me at 303-748-0770, and we will make sure you receive one.
Donations

Every important political campaign these days requires significant funding, and this one is no exception. We need to find a way to pay for brochures, direct mail pieces, advertisements and other tools to help make voters aware of their choices. Please consider making any level of contribution to the "Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado" campaign, and help me get elected in 2016.
