3 Steps of the VampiR Facial Procedure
Lisa Keller, MSN, CRNP, NP-C has outlined the procedure as follows:
"First, we isolate growth factors from the patient's blood. Second, we use a microneedling device to create multiple micro-punctures --both driving the isolated growth factors into the skin & creating stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face. Third, we 'paint' the growth factors onto the micro-punctures so that the growth factors soak into the tissue for further stimulation of tightening and skin rejuvenation."
H ow PRP Works:
Blood is made up of red and white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Following an injury, platelets in our bodies are activated and release healing proteins called growth factors, which help to speed up wound and tissue healing. Platelet Rich Plasma is a particularly good source of these growth factors because we are able to get PRP from your blood quickly, easily and safely right in our medical office.

The approximately one-hour inpatient process begins by taking a small sample of your blood and placing it into the Platelet Concentrate System, which separates the blood into its primary components – platelets and white blood cells, plasma, and red blood cells.
After a portion of the plasma is removed, your concentrated platelets are mixed with the remaining plasma to form a platelet-rich solution that is then injected into and around the injured tissues.
W hat can you expect immediately after your treatment?

The procedure may leave your skin with a warm, flushed, sunburn-like appearance. This redness may last 12-24 hours but no significant lingering pain should be expected. There may be a very small amount of puffiness. No severe swelling has been reported by our patients.

Typically. the results from the treatment becomes visible within the first few days and you will see an improved glow of the skin.

Results will continue to improve over the next several weeks to months as the PRP stimulates your collagen.
