Farm to Early Care & Education Advances
The recently passed VT Farm to School Bill S.33 expands programming into early education: that means more food, nutrition, and farm learning in preschools and child care programs. Great work is already being done in the state, and VT FEED is excited to grow the movement with the Vermont Farm to School Network!  Watch work currently being done in Addison County.

Vermont Fresh Network Annual Forum Dinner & 21st Birthday
Spend a summer evening enjoying bites and tastes from Vermont's finest chef and artisanal food producers! On August 6, Vermont farmers and chefs will join at the Coach Barn to prepare a sensational meal! All proceeds go to Vermont Fresh Network, dedicated to bringing more Vermont grown and raised food to the table.

Supporting Community Based Conservation in China
"Shelburne Farms and Middlebury College both have a great interest in teaching for a sustainable future, so it feels like a natural partnership." Educator Kerri McAllister joins Middlebury College and The Nature Conservancy to support sustainability efforts in the Yunnan Province.  Watch the story.
A Celebration of Cured Meats
Jeff Roberts, author of the newly published Salted and Cured: Savoring the Culture, Heritage and Flavors of America's Preserved Meats, is collaborating with Farm Executive Chef Jim McCarthy to create a sensory-led exploration of meat preservation methods and history. Learn how farmers, chefs, and butchers are working together to rekindle the traditions of salting and curing to produce the complex flavors we love.
