Code Compliant Structural Composite Lumber
and Critical Connections
The state of Connecticut has adopted a new building code.  The "2016 CT State Building Code" went into effect on October 1, and brings with it changes that you need to be aware of.  This seminar brings together two experts on the matter: Mark Collins of Weyerhaeuser and Lou Daviau from Simpson Strong-Tie will be here to detail their respective solutions to meet a few of the new requirements.  Two products and two speakers that work well together.
TrusJoist EWP Logo
CT recently adopted the IRC 2012 code. We will review the new requirements for membrane protection and provide solutions that will help meet the requirements of section R501.3. We will also discuss the most common do's and don'ts of the installation of EWP products.
With the increased use of engineered lumber in today's homes, floor and roof spans are getting longer. The increased length of rafters, trusses, joists, and beams, cause increased loads and the connections become even more critical. We will look at choosing the proper connection for many various conditions. This will be a hands on learning experience. Let's have some fun.
This is a FREE seminar
