Pilgrimage to the Holy Land - February 2018

The Sea of Galilee by Paul Barkett
The Rector will lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land from February 16-28, 2018. Over the course of the 10 day trip, pilgrims will thoroughly explore the Holy Land. Highlights include visits to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, Nazareth, the Jordan River, Capernaum, the Sea of Galilee, the ancient city of Sepphoris, Beth Phage, Gethsemane, and even an opportunity to float in the Dead Sea!

The cost for the land portion of the trip is $2350 and includes accommodations in a double room, all meals, transportation in Israel via deluxe bus, entrance fees, and tips for guest house/restaurant staff/bus driver. Each pilgrim is responsible for their own airfare to Tel Aviv. A very limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost.

The trip is limited to 26 pilgrims. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $500 is due by October 31 and the final payment will be due by January 9.

To join the pilgrimage, please send your NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit to Evangeline Gravina ([email protected]) in the parish office. For questions about the pilgrimage, contact Paul Barkett ([email protected]).
Parents' Night Out - August 4
On August 4, this Friday  night  program offers  parents  an opportunity to enjoy free time while St. John's provides child care, a light supper, and entertainment for children (infants through age 10). All we ask is that you  sign up by noon on Wednesday, August 2 so that we will have an adequate number of attendants.  You may drop off your children at 6:30 p.m., being sure to pick up your children before 9:00 p.m., when the doors will be locked.

Parents' Night Out will go on hiatus after this event, due to planned renovations at the Parish House.

Sign up with Evangeline Gravina in the Parish Office  at  [email protected]  or at  202-347-8766 , ext. 301.
SOME Casserole Collection Hiatus

Our last casserole collection date is August 6.  Thank you for your generosity in support of this important work
Join the Summer Choir!
