Rita Major, the remaining singing member of Pacific Chorale who began in 1968 and sang at almost all of its concerts during her 50 years with the chorus, has died. Rita was a beloved OC arts veteran who was also the longtime Education Director at the Philharmonic Society of Orange County and had previously served as Box Office Manager of Pacific Symphony and Business Manager of Pacific Chorale. A memorial for Rita Major will take place on Sunday, October 1, 3 p.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 2200 San Joaquin Hills Rd., Newport Beach.
