Seven Weeks of Ignite Begin October 30
After Jesus rose, he told his followers, "You shall be my witnesses... but wait until you are clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:48-49) Several days later, on Pentecost, he did just that: he sent the fiery presence of the Holy Spirit upon them and empowered them to continue his ministry. (Acts 2:1-4)

For several months now the Lord has been Igniting us in the Spirit's fire here at St. Giles. During the seven weeks of Ignite we will focus on what God is doing, so that we can be fully responsive to whatever means of igniting he uses.
Ignite Will Have Three Components:

Class: Keith will teach on Sundays from 9:00 to 10:00. We will video these classes so that those who miss can take advantage too.

Life Groups: Each week Life Groups will discuss and put into practice what we are learning.

Conferences: One factor God is using in his Igniting work here is the ministry of Global Awakening. Several of us have been to their conferences, and in August we hosted their leader, Randy Clark. During Ignite there are two Global Awakening conferences to which Keith will lead a St. Giles delegation.

God has good gifts for us in this season, and the best way to receive is to join in all three parts of Ignite!

Explore God: Week 7
It's hard to believe, but Explore God is almost finished!  This is our last week! Here is the remaining topic we'll address in sermons and small groups:

Can I know God personally?

What's your part?  Pray for those who don't know Jesus to meet him.   And bring someone with you to a small group or worship!  Whom might you invite?

In the Community
                          Thank You for Your Prayers!

I want to thank so many of you for your beautiful responses to the conversation Sarah and I had Sunday in front of the congregation and I want to thank everyone for praying for me and the communities we have to go out and RESET. I'm especially grateful for some very special words of encouragement that I received from one of my St. Gilean Sisters. As I get ready to head to yet another RESET (Rapid Engagement of Support in the Event of a Trauma) for our most resent homicide yesterday afternoon, I will head there with a renewed sense of purpose and responsibility, and what's even better, I take your prayers with me. So thank you again!
